The School…
Jonesboro School of Art is owned and operated by award winning portrait artist Tanya Eddy. JSA offers art instruction for students pre-K through adult. All work is based on art history. While younger students will be introduced to the use of color, shape and texture in their compositions, older students will concentrate on technique.
In August 2009, Jonesboro School of Art opened its doors to 6 students. Through the Lord's blessings, JSA has grown to over 70 artists. Over the past two years, our students have successfully participated in art competitions throughout Arkansas and Tennessee, bringing home over a dozen awards.

The Teacher…
A native of Northeast Arkansas, Tanya graduated from Arkansas State University with a BSE degree, majoring in biology and minoring in art. Over the past eight years, she has guided hundreds of students in both classroom and individual art instruction.
Tanya’s commissioned work primarily focuses in the area of portraiture, with colored pencil and watercolor as her mediums of choice. Tanya’s work has won her the Ethel F. Kamberg memorial prize for portrait art, from the St. Louis Artist’s Guild. In addition, her work has been displayed in various galleries, included in an issue of the Artist’s Magazine, and can be found in private collections throughout the United States. In 2009, her first book illustrations were published in Three Toes the Raccoon Visits the Farm, by Ron Brown.
Tanya, her husband Danny, and daughter Maya are a home schooling family. They share their home with a happy chihuahua named Sasha and their forever hungry goldfish, Jonas.
